The Royal Arsenal Gatehouse

Introduction

This beautiful historic building is steeped in history. For many years it was the main gateway to The Royal Arsenal, through which many thousands of people walked to their jobs in the nation’s main facility for developing and producing military armaments.

Having lain empty for several decades, The Greenwich Enterprise Board rescued it in 1996 and converted it into the landlmark office building for Woolwich.
